Gather your friends and family and make a beeline to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro to see BUGS An EPIC Adventure. We�re celebrating our 40th anniversary with a special outdoor exhibit featuring giant animatronic and interactive bugs. Invertebrates (or bugs) make up 96% of all animal life on earth. See a 30 foot long tarantula, a giant robotic praying mantis, an interactive firefly and then check out our live bug encounter dome. From bizarre walking sticks and scorpions to gorgeous butterflies, there�s something to amaze everyone. A play area will have kids and adults moving huge dung balls around. If you want a souvenir, a gift kiosk features buggy items, including themed t-shirts. The exhibit opens April 1 and runs through October, 2014. Come celebrate 40 wild years at the North Carolina Zoo, the world�s largest natural habitat zoo with over 1,600 animals along 500 wooded acres.
