Make sure you get the one for Sprint which is a CDMA company. Republic Wireless just rents the towers from them. Ebay has them for around $12.99, but if you need the tools it's around $20.

What carrier is the Moto X using?
Depends on your skill level. If you can follow a youtube video pretty easily then it shouldn't be to hard.
Getting someone else to do it you're looking at $50+ plus parts I would say at the least.

My mom's moto x screen is cracked. Can she buy a new screen and replace it herself or is that something we need to get repaired by an expert? Anyone do this and if so average costs? Thank you for any help.
